Sunrise Easter Service At Ober

April 1st

If you are religious this is a great service and even if you are not religious this is a great service to attend and see the majesty that is present when the sun starts to come up and over the mountains. The service is typically non-denominational. So you will not have to be concerned about it being slanted to any type of religion or aspect of religion that you may disagree with. The service you see here is held during the sunrise and it is from the top of Mount Harris and if you are down in Gatlinburg during the ski season you will find this is a great place to go for skiing.

This is a great way to recall the memory of the men who served the country and did quite a bit for the country. The march is going to cover a total of 26.2 miles, which could easily let you see this is going to make it into a march that would cover a distance that a marathon runner would be able to cover when they are running. The difference is these individuals are going to be running while carrying packs and will have the purpose of putting out the memory of the other men who served and are having their memory served here.

If you are a lover of crafts, then you will definitely like this event. It is an event that specializes in the local crafts that are being made in Gatlinburg by the local artisans. This will make it easier for you to find the pieces you want to have, but it will allow you to have a great time because the crafts people will have their items out in showcases. This makes it easier for you to have a great looking piece and even find a piece that you always dreamed of, but the crafter was saving for an event like this because it is difficult for them to make.

Wildflower Adventure

Later April

This is an event that has a couple of days that are dedicated to it, April 24-28. However, we have found that the wildflowers tend to not follow the rules that we have set for them and that is why we have essentially set this to be more of the later part of April. It generally will happen during this time frame, but you need to realize that no matter what time you are in Gatlinburg and the spring wildflowers are starting to bloom it will be easy for you to have a great time because you can see some of the beautiful flowers in the area and know these flowers are not going to be the ones that you would see if you are in town during the summer months.

April 24

While you want to go to town for a vacation, you need to realize learning about civic duty and responsibility is always a good thing as well. That is exactly what you are going to get if you are in town and decide to volunteer for the Spur Cleanup. This is a service that is going to help in keeping the region that we all love beautiful and clean. It will also make sure you are going to have a great time because you know that you are going to have a chance to enjoy the beauty of the area and know that you helped to keep it that way.

April 26  – Earth Day 5K is April 27

Earth Day is an amazing time to take in the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains. However, what you will find is this is an amazing time in Gatlinburg as well and the festival that celebrates Earth Day is definitely worth checking out. The festival is one that will provide you with quite a bit if education and an amazing time because you can finally enjoy the day in the mountains and at the festival that is helping to support the beauty of the area. What is really nice is the next day, after the festival, you will find the place is going to have a great 5K run that is simply a great time.
