Staying in a place that has the word lodge in the name often makes me think about the old ski lodges that I would see in the older movies with a fire burning in a fireplace and people standing around drinking hot chocolate and having a great time. While this lodge, may not have the ski part down pat it does have the cozy atmosphere that everyone is going to love. I know this is a location that when I was preparing the list of hotels is rated as the best hotel in Gatlinburg and once I started to read more about the location I have to admit it is very easy to see why this is the top rated hotel. I mean all I can say is WOW! Talk about a superior product and quality of product that you cannot find in most locations, this has it all. The Lodge at Buckberry Creek is one of those places that is going to easily take you back in time and make you think more about the different places that you have always wanted to travel to, but never really had a chance to get to. I know for me, this is a location that makes my list of places that I want to get to as well, but as we promised we are going to provide you with a review of this location, which will make it easier for you to know if you are staying in the right location.
Location Of The Lodge At Buckberry Creek
Location is key when you are planning on staying in Gatlinburg. I know some people want to stay right on the strip for the atmosphere and ease of shopping. However, other people will enjoy staying a short distance away from the strip. That is what the Lodge at Buckberry Creek is going to offer you. The address of the Lodge at Buckberry Creek is:

The directions that I found to the location are going to take you from downtown Gatlinburg at the Ripley’s Aquarium. When you are at this location, you will want to take Greystone Heights Road, which will wrap you around quite a few turns. However, this road is going to eventually turn into Campbell Lead Road. This is also going to go by the Gatlinburg scenic by-pass, which is where our home page picture is from. After being on this road, you will see the lodge on the left hand side of the road. At least that is what the maps say. What is even better is according to Google Maps, this is only 2.7 miles from the aquarium.

Exterior Features Of The Lodge At Buckberry Creek
The outside of a hotel, or in this case a lodge is generally the first impression you are going to get of a hotel. However, what you need to realize is not all of the pictures of the outside does not tell the full tale of the hotel. So you will need to make sure you explore the hotel as a whole. A major positive that you will find with the Buckberry Creek Lodge is the fact that it is situated on 26 acres, which is quite a bit of land in the region and this land is mostly private and wooded. So you can easily enjoy the retreat you can get from the lodge itself, without even leaving the property. Amenities That Are Offered On Site
This is a hotel that has some of those unique and almost one of a kind type of feels to them that you would want to have around you all the time. What you need to realize is, that does come with a price, but it is a price that I know I am willing to pay because you get quite a bit for your money and you have a great place to stay at. However, you will also find the location is one that is going to provide you with quiet a bit of warmth as well because it is a place you will not want to leave from. With all of this information you should make sure you know about the amenities that the hotel offers outside of those in the room, which will be covered in the next section. By having this information it will be easy for you to get the feel for the location or not.
Lounges are something that may seem like they are a little bit old fashioned, but when you are traveling you will want to make sure you know more about the location or have some time to relax outside of your room and away from a crowded city. This is exactly what you will get here as The Lodge at Buckberry Creek has a lounge on site. This is a great place for you to get the chance to sit down and relax, but also have a chance to enjoy yourself by getting to know some of the other travelers in the area.
Maintained walking trails are something else you will be able to enjoy when you are at the location. As we already mentioned, the location is on 26 acres in the mountains. The owners of the property have realized what a gem this is and how the location can be one that can be taken advantage of and they really did. They have walking trails on the property and this is going to make it easier for you to get to know more about the location and enjoy a hiking trail that is not crowded or have to be as concerned about your kids getting hurt or taken by other people on the trails.

Room Features At The Lodge At Buckberry Creek
Now here is the part that you are probably wanting to hear most about. I know in all the hotel reviews I have read while preparing the website for launch, this location is one that has almost all of the features I want to have. You normally will want to have some specific items in a room when you are traveling, but some of the items the rooms here offer you, are something you may have never really considered needing to be had. I know that I did not think about getting some of these items when I first started to look at the location, but after I started to read more about the location and what the rooms have, I knew that it was going to be something that I wanted to share with everyone.
A kitchen is not something that you would think about when you are on vacation. However, some people, myself included, do not like to eat out that often. Now I know this may seem a little odd, but when you do not want to eat out all the time you are going to hate vacations. With this location you will find their are kitchens in each of the rooms. However, unlike a lot of the other hotels that claim to have a kitchen and it ends up being a mini fridge, microwave, and a coffee pot, this location offers a fully functional kitchen that you can use to cook complete meals in.
Balconies are great for sitting on and staring out into the woods and just reconnecting with nature. I know for me, the city noise can be stressful, but then again I live in an area that the closest city has just barely over five thousand residents. So a large crowd can start to cause some stress. With this location, though, each of the rooms is going to have a balcony for you to use or a patio if you are on the first floor. So you can easily get to sit down and relax while you just unwind from your day.
Jet tubs are nice to have in your room and a great way to sit back and relax, but they also have the added bonus of giving you the chance to get clean as well. Every room in this hotel is going to provide you with the chance to have a jet tub to sit back in and relax. This way you can finally start to get the relaxation that you want to have while you are on vacation, but also know the soaking is going to help soothe your sore and aching muscles from the long days that you will probably spend in the mountains.

As you can see, their is not really any complaints about the location. Even when we were digging down, we could not really find a lot of complaints about the location and this really makes it easier for you to find out how great the location is. Either way, I have to say this is one of those locations that can make or break your vacation.
