Review Of Mountain House Motor Inn
Typically when you are looking at a hotel in Gatlinburg you are going to notice their are quite a few to select from. However, something else that you are going to enjoy is the fact the Mountain House Motor Inn is a location that you are going to enjoy immensely. While the location may seem like it is a different brand, that is because it used to be the Econo Lodge Downtown. So this is something that you need to consider. However, this is now its own hotel and one that you are going to want to learn about. A good thing about this location is the fact that it is within walking distance to almost all of the main features of downtown that you would want to see. Something else that you are going to like is this is off of the beaten path, but if you take some time to study the maps, you can easily find a few back ways to get back into the mountains and avoid a lot of the congestion that is present in the downtown region.

To reach this location you will notice it is going to easy to do in a couple of different ways. If you are going past the aquarium you will want to turn left onto Cherokee Orchard Road. When you turn left onto this road, you will be able to go up a couple of streets and Newton Lane will be on the left hand side and once you turn onto this road you will see the location on the right hand side. If you are coming from the Cosby region or decided to use some of the back ways to avoid the downtown traffic, you will want to turn onto Baskins Creek Bypass, which is going to turn into Newton Lane if you go far enough. Then the location will be on the left hand side of the road.

Features Of The Mountain House Inn
This is a hotel that is going to make it easier for you to get the relaxation you want to have as it does have a couple of outdoor pools. You may not think about this being that important for you to be worried about, but you need to realize you are going to need to know about these pools because they are not in a place that you would think about, but also because these are outdoor pools you need to be mindful of the weather because the chance of them being closed is possible. What is really nice is they even have a children’s pool that you can use as well if you are traveling with your kids.
A picnic area is a great thing to have in Gatlinburg and that is what you will find at the Mountain House Inn. What else is nice is the area has a lot of barbecue grills for you to use and know it is going to make it easier for you to make your own meal if you want to and enjoy the picnic tables that are present. So this is going to be a great option for you to consider if you want to have a good place to sit and take in the beauty of the mountains, but also enjoy a great meal.
The location of the hotel is going to be one of the easiest for you to get around town. You may have never thought about this before, but when you are looking in Gatlinburg you will find that it can be difficult to get around town at times because you have a limited amount of parking. However, the good news is the hotel is located close enough to everything to make it easier for you to have an easy walk to the town, most notably the Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies.
What Did We Not Like – Mountain House Inn
One of the biggest things we did not like about the Mountain House Inn is the fact the hotel has limited front desk hours. Normally in our experience this makes it a little bit harder for you to get the help in the middle of the night if you need it, but also if you arrive late for a check in it will be impossible. So you need to make sure you are checking in at a reasonable hour or you could have some problems in getting the room that you want to stay in.
