Finding a restaurant in Gatlinburg that has the locals flocking to it can be a great thing because it lets you know the food or atmosphere is out of this world. With Three Jimmys you will find it is a great place the locals love, which you know if they are going to the place that it cannot be that bad. In fact, the food and the atmosphere that is present here is very nice and something you can easily fall in love with just like we have. What Is Our Favorite Meal
When are at Three Jimmy’s we love the food and the atmosphere, with the covered patio and what usually equates to a live band each time we have been. However, what really blows our mind at Three Jimmy’s is the food and the quality that it is served at.
Once again we are going to break with our normal appetizer as we love Gouda cheese. Yes, I am Dutch so do not judge me! Since we love Gouda so much we tend to gravitate towards the Smoked Gouda Spinach Dip, this dip is served at just the right size to give you a tease of whats to come, but with the pita chips it will blow your mind.
When it comes to the main part of the meal we tend to opt for a sandwich of all things. Our kids are picky so this makes it easier for us to get them something that we know they will eat and not waste a lot of food. The sandwich we tend to lean towards is one called the Big Pig. The Big Pig sandwich is a hickory smoked pork that we love to eat and it is a sandwich that provides us with quite a bit of food to eat as well.
What We Did Not Like
The thing that we did not like is the coleslaw that comes with the sandwich. Yes, we know with BBQ you are supposed to get coleslaw as a traditional type of dish, but for us we prefer to make our own slaw. Then we know what is going into it and in what proportions because I have a very sensitive stomach to some of the items that go into coleslaw so anything that is off can really ruin my entire next day.
Our Final Thoughts On Three Jimmy’s In Gatlinburg
Restaurants are something that you need to know about when you are traveling. If you pick wisely on your trip then you are guaranteed to have a great vacation and one that you will remember for years to come. However, if you pick the wrong restaurant your entire trip can be ruined by food poisoning or even worse not getting food that will fulfill your appetite and leave you short on cash because you are going out for more food. At Three Jimmy’s you will find the food is good, the atmosphere is great and what is best is the speed of the service will not leave you wondering if you will ever get fed. Overall, a great place to go and have some great food.
