• Going to use more of a homestyle for the Mexican food you are going to have available. You may think that all the restaurants you can eat at are the home-style, but you need to realize this is not the case. In fact, a lot of the restaurants are going to serve you more of the food you are thinking is the authentic Mexican or Latin American style of food. However, in this case, the location definitely has some of the better food you will enjoy and know it will provide you with the great food you want to have.
• A fusion of the Mexican dishes with the Latin American dishes is going to really take the food a step up compared to what you could be used to. Normally, this is the combination you would get at most restaurants, but you will find the food here is going to be amazing because it does have the combination that is going to make it easier for you to have a great meal that is going to fill you up and keep your taste buds popping.
• The location you are going to be able to go to here is very unassuming. This is going to make it easier for you to have a great time because the lack of pomp and fair tends to make it easier for people to overlook the location and this can make it impossible for you to get the right meal. However, if you overlook the lack of flair that you get at some of the places on the outside you will be in for a very special treat.
• Something else about the location you are going to like is the fact this is a place that is going to be set away from the main Parkway. As you can tell by the map we have above this will make it easier for you to have a great time without the crowds as well. That is because the restaurant is located towards the end of Roaring Fork and this is not in the typical restaurant space you would see in the town.

What I Like About The Eatery

I love the fact this is a restaurant that is off the beaten path. While I do not mind going to places like Blaine’s and Cherokee Grill, they are on the Parkway. This means you can easily get caught up with the crowds that are present and this can easily lead to what could be a great meal being one that you feel rushed to finish because the wait staff needs to turn the tables over really quick. However, with this location, I do not have the rushed feeling because it is not located on the Parkway and definitely makes it easier for you to have a great trip with a decent meal.

The selection off of the menu is something else you are going to enjoy. With most of the Mexican restaurants in Gatlinburg, you will notice they are going to have only a single selection of food and it comes from the Mexican side. What is great about Estrella Hondumex is the fact the place has some great food that you can select from the Mexican side of the menu, but you will also have a chance to go to Honduras if you want because the menu has a well versed Honduran side of the food to enjoy as well.

Finally, I have to admit the dish that I really love the location is the Carne Asada, but also the salsa and chips is amazing as well. So this is going to be a great thing to enjoy because it is going to be a great place to eat because the food has the perfect blend of seasonings that you are not going to need to have anything extra. So you do not need to bring in the salt and pepper or anything else.

What I Did Not Like

The main thing that I did not like is the fact so many people can overlook the restaurant. When you are looking for Mexican in Gatlinburg you may notice it is easy for you to look at No Way Jose’s. However, if you do not mind looking a little bit deeper in the town you can find several Mexican restaurants. So that is the one thing that we do not like about the location is the fact it is harder to find and does not stand out like it should as a great place.

My Final Thoughts On Estrella Hondumex

If you are looking for a great Mexican restaurant to go out and eat at in Gatlinburg, but want to avoid the Parkway you may need to look at some of the places that are around the town. This is when you should know more about some of the Mexican restaurants in Gatlinburg. By knowing about places like Estrella Hondumex, it will be very easy for you to see that you can find some great places to eat and know the food will be very filling.
