I love going places with my pets and I have to say when I have my dogs with me I feel at ease, so when I travel to Gatlinburg I tend to look for all the best locations that are pet-friendly. I know a lot of people are in the same boat as I am and that makes it difficult for you to have a good vacation because you are constantly worried about your pet and if they are safe or not. Since this is the case, I decided it was time for me to do quite a bit of research and look for what I feel are the 6 best pet friendly hotels in Gatlinburg for 2018. Then you will have the information you need to help you find a hotel that will allow you to bring your pet with you, but also gives you a chance to book the location at the same time. Now, this is going to be a little bit different than how I would normally be doing an article as I will just go into the list because it is hard to find pet-friendly hotels and obviously this is the main feature I am looking for.

6. Country Inn & Suites 

The Country Inn & Suites is a place that you are going to really like because it is centrally located in town and the rooms are fairly comfortable. What is really nice about this location is the fact this does have a nice staff that is going to help you find out everything that you would want to have, but it will also make it easier for you to have a good trip and know you are going to bring your pet with you and they will be attentive to the needs you have.

When it comes to the types of pets you can bring with you at the Country Inn, it is very important to realize this is a place that allows dogs only. This means you can bring your dogs with you, but only if they are under 25 pounds and going to have a limit of 2 per room. This is definitely going to limit what you can bring pet wise, but for most people, they will only travel with their dogs anyways.

5. Motel 6 Gatlinburg Smoky Mountains

Well, Motel 6 is a great place that you are going to like because it is going to have plenty for you to do, but it will also make it easier for you to have a good trip that allows you to bring your pet for free. This is a great feature because most of these hotels are going to require you to pay extra to have your dog stay with you. On the downside, this is a Motel 6 so you should not expect to see the same standards you may be used to seeing if you have stayed at a property owned or operated under the Marriott or Hilton name. So this is going to leave you wanting to see some potential for more cleaning on the hotel. The hotel, on the whole, does have a very friendly staff and this will help make your trip more enjoyable and allow you to have a good time and coupled with the nice location it will make it easier for you to have a good trip you can enjoy and easily get into town.

4. Travelodge Inn Suites Gatlinburg

The Travelodge Inn Suites is not really a place that is located near town as it is a 20-minute walk to the aquarium, but it is a place that does allow pets. Not to mention this is a hotel that definitely makes it easier for you to avoid a lot of the crowds that are present in the town. The good news is this is a hotel that allows you to have a great pool to swim in, but it is a seasonal outdoor pool, which I do not really like because I hate having to wait for the pool to warm up by the sun and it never seems to reach the temperature I feel comfortable at.

With the Travelodge you do have to realize they have some restrictions on the pets. The primary one that we have seen is the size of the pets that are allowed. The pets are allowed to be up to twenty pounds. So this is the size of the smaller dogs, but if you have a larger dog or other pets then you may have to leave them home or in boarders home so you can take your vacation you want to go on.

3. Quality Inn & Suites 

The Quality Inn & Suites is a location you are going to like because it is close to everything, but at the same time is in a secluded type of location. This will make it easier for you to have a great trip because you can walk to town, in fact, it is a lot closer than the Travelodge in an 8-minute walk versus a twenty-minute jaunt. So that is definitely going to rank high on our list. Now the downside is we did find that some of the pets are going to be limited to certain rooms so you definitely have to make sure you book this early and they are limiting the number of pets to 2 and the weight cannot be over the thirty-pound mark on the pets.

2. Sidney James Mountain Lodge

With the Sidney James, it is located on the mountain stream and not far from one of the parks in Gatlinburg. So this is definitely going to make it easier for you to have a great trip and know you have a great place to take your dogs when you have to take them to go potty. What is really nice is this location has a fantastic indoor pool and it will make it easier for you to have a great time because you can easily get into the pool and enjoy the night.

What you may find kind of interesting or not really interesting is the limits on the pets are to the courtside rooms and only those that have double beds. What else is going to be an issue for some travelers is the fact the Sidney James Mountain Lodge does charge you ten bucks extra a night for the pets to stay in the room.

1. Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort and Spa

Westgate is a location that is rebuilding quite a bit from the fire in 216. However, it is also a location that has some amazing rooms and definitely will be a place you are going to fall in love with. Now, the downside is this location does have a problem with the location being out of town and a long walk if you are wanting to go into town and avoid a lot of the parking cost. The place is actually a 40-minute hike to town and this can be a very long walk if you are going to take it. At this location you will probably love the fact this is a place that has some great rooms to enjoy with your pet, but they are restricted to only 1 pet per room and they are going to be size restricted at 60 pounds, which is quite a bit more than a lot of the hotels that limit the size of the dogs and cats you will have inside of your room.
