Space Needle is one of those buildings that you would automatically think about Seattle with. However, one thing that you will notice is Gatlinburg is a city that has its own version of Space Needle. Granted it is not as tall as the one in Seattle and it does not overlook the city of Seattle, the Gatlinburg Space Needle looks over the city of Gatlinburg and the views include the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains. The downside is a lot of people see the Space Needle and never think about going up to the top of the needle, but also do not even know what they can do when they are at the Space Needle, which is why we have decided to do our Space Needle in Gatlinburg review today.

Location Of Gatlinburg Space Needle

The Space Needle in Gatlinburg is actually very easy to find. However, for a lot of people the precise directions and the address tend to make it easier. On the downside with the location you do not have any on site parking and do have to use one of the parking lots in the city or even your hotel parking lot and walk to the Gatlinburg Space Needle.

Is The Gatlinburg Space Needle Kid Friendly?

As with most of the things in Gatlinburg the Space Needle is kid friendly. The kids tends to enjoy the arcade area, but that can be expensive for the parents at times. However, at the same time as a parent you could end up enjoying the views that your family can see.

What else you may want to check out is the views. Now, I will provide you some advice that as a parent you do need to check to make sure the kids are now climbing on the railing. Yes, it is not allowed, but just like you can imagine any kids tend to avoid listening to this and have a tendency to climb on things when they are not supposed to be climbing on them.

What We Like About Space Needle

While it does cost some money to go to the top, about ten dollars or so, the price is very much worth the views and information that you are going to get. Since we are talking about the views this brings us up to the first point of what we love from the Space Needle and that is the fact that you do have amazing views that you are going to love.

Now in addition to the beautiful views that you get, you will notice they have telescopes that you can use for free from the top. This is a great feature because it makes it easier for you to get to see the beautiful items that you are looking for and be able to pinpoint them even more with the telescopes. What else is great about this location is they do have details on what you are looking at from the top. So you are not going to have to do what so many people would be ding and that is guessing on what they are looking at and end up being wrong, but still think they were right.

What We Did Not Like About Space Needle

The Space Needle in Gatlinburg is great in the fact that it does have some great views and everything that you are going to like. The downside that we found is if it gets really crowded at the top, which is possible, it may start to feel like it can be crowded and if you are claustrophobic it can seem like it is crowding in on you. This is very true if the elevator is busy and you have to share it with quite a few people. So you need to make sure you know about this because it is going to be crowded as this is a popular destination for the amazing views you will get.

The main group that would get the most out of visiting the Space Needle would be those that enjoy the views of Gatlinburg. The height of the touring observation deck definitely provide you with a chance to get some great views of the city and the panoramic views that a lot of people tend to overlook.

So that definitely provides some great experiences that you are not going to get in most of the other places you may visit.

The main group that may not really like the Space Needle would be the teenagers or groups that want to have more excitement.
