As asked for on our Facebook page, Travel To Gatlinburg, we are going to list the Gatlinburg events in April that we have found! Some of these events are directly in Gatlinburg and involve some of the attractions as well! Since April is the start of what many consider to be the travel season we see that it will be a very busy month! Here is a list of some of the attractions that are coming in Gatlinburg. Please note that some of the days are not going to have any events listed. Please note if you are looking for a specific day please use Ctrl+F on your keyboard and type in the date a we do have a lot of dates covered. Now let us start the Gatlinburg events in April!

April 1st

The start of April is no fool in Gatlinburg. The evening is going to have a great Family Movie Night at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park. The movie starts at 7:30 PM and runs until 9:30 PM EST. More information can be found at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park’s website.

For those who are early risers the Spring Trout Tournament and River Cleanup starts at 7:00 AM. This is a great activity to participate in and helps to keep the beautiful area clean and free from pollution. The tournament also marks the opening day for the fish and keep fishing in Gatlinburg waters. Find more information at the Gatlinburg, Tennessee government page.

Alcohol and bacon lovers are going to rejoice at the next events we have found. The event takes place at Ober Mountain and it starts at 10:00 AM EST. For the whiskey sampling you are going to need valid ID and that takes place only from 1:00 PM EST until 4:00 PM EST. The live music starts at 10:00 AM and continues until 6:00 PM EST. Carr’s Northside Cottages and Motel

Carr’s Northside Cottages and Motel is located a short 14 minute walk from the Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, Anakeesta and only a minute longer walk to traffic light 6. Carr’s offers a seasonal pool, free WiWi, air conditioning, a kitchen and laundry area. For the crowded Gatlinburg area the free parking is definitely a plus.

Chosen Road with Jackson Heights is a religious event, but it is one that some people will find interesting. The event takes place at the Church of the Cove and starts at 7:00 PM EST and takes place in Townsend. You can find out even more information here.

The singer Rossdafareye is coming to Gatlinburg Brewing Company. The singer here is another that is very talented and is giving a great chance for you to check out some amazing tunes while enjoying some locally brewed beverages. Find out more information at the Gatlinburg Brewing website here.

April 3rd

As mentioned some of the days in April will be fairly slow. However, on April 3rd is the next day with scheduled bigger events. On that day at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park you will find Music on the Mountain at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park. The best part is this is a recurring event that is going to take place every week day until May 30, 2023. The events start at 6:00 PM and conclude at 9:00 PM EST and you can buy tickets in advance. Margaritaville Resort

April 5th

An event that I know is famous is the Great Smoky Easter Arts & Crafts Show. The show starts on April 5th and runs every day until April 8th. The show is a great time to connect with the local crafters, but also a chance to buy homemade goods that you may not see anywhere else. The event starts at 10:00 AM EST and runs until 5 PM EST. It is a great time for the young and old alike. April 8th 

Gatlinburg is a family friendly destination and that is proved here. The Community Police Programs is going to hold an Easter Egg Hunt. The best part is unlike an Easter Egg that my local church holds this starts at noon! It is being held at Mynatt Park. The egg hunt it self starts at 1:00 PM EST and it is done by age group. It is only open for kids ages 1-12, but the kids do need to bring an Easter basket with them. You can find out more information at the Gatlinburg, TN government page.

For families with kids an event that the kids are sure to love is having breakfast with the Easter Bunny before he heads out on his trip. The breakfast is happening from 8:00 AM EST until 9:00 AM EST at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies. River Terrace Resort & Convention Center

Rated at 7.8/10 the River Terrace Resort & Convention Center has a pool, free WiFi, parking, and air condition. The resort also offers a breakfast, but is pet friendly as well within certain limits. The River Terrace is located 3 minute walk from the aquarium and only a 6 minute walk from the Gatlinburg SkyLift Park. If you want to walk to the Great Smoky Mountains Park it is only a 17 minute walk.

April 9th

Easter is going to start off with the Easter Sunrise Service. This service, which is one that we have seen held each year in Gatlinburg is being held at the Ober Gatlinburg Ski Area & Amusement Park. The price is free on Facebook and that is actually all the information that we could find on the sunrise service. 

Something else that is happening on April 9th in Gatlinburg is the Smoky Mountain Sunrise at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park. The event does happen early in the morning at 6:00 AM EST and requires tickets as well. The event is being held at the Gatlinburg SkyLift Park and is happening on various days in the year with the 9th of April being the first day and held every Wednesday until May 10th. April 13th

The event that starts on April 13th is not in Gatlinburg, but it will snare traffic in the entire region. The Pigeon Forge Spring Rod Run is starting and is located at the LeConte Center at Pigeon Forge. This event draws a lot of traffic and tends to make traffic very difficult to deal with. April 14th

The flowers are really getting a feature here as Anakeesta is the place to be. At Anakeesta you can attend the Blooms and Tunes event. This is an event that is daily until May 29th. The mountain is going to have plenty of art installations for you to enjoy, but also has live music and entertainment. At night you can enjoy the twinkling lights and colorful displays in each village. You can find out more information at the Anakeesta website

April 16th

This is another event that is not in Gatlinburg proper, but it is an event some people may want to check out. At the Sevierville Convention Center you have a chance to catch a Lee Greenwood Concert. April 21

Roy Saunders is coming to the Gatlinburg Brewing Company as well. The great singing combination here with the freshly brewed items makes this a great stop to check out. Find out more information by clicking here.

For fiber lovers that do not mind taking a quick trip to Townsend you are going to love the Great Smoky Mountains Fiber Fair. This is a great fair and one that you can see multiple types of fiber. If you are looking for even more information check out the Facebook page for the event here.

April 22nd

Discover Life in America, is another great Gatlinburg event in April and is a combination event that is taking place at 1316 Cherokee Orchard Road. The event starts at 10:00 AM and goes until 2:00 PM and it is the 25th Anniversary Open House. At the event you will find live music, lunch, tours of various natural history, and nature programs. You can also meet with some of the scientist and biologist who are in the park on a daily basis. Also Discover Life in America is presenting an event that is called An Evening with Doug Tallamy. This event is being held at 705 Cherokee Orchard Road and is going from 6:00 PM EST until 9:00 PM EST. The cost is only 10 dollars per person. The author is a professor of Agriculture at the University of Delaware and will I’ve a great talk about how the world changes and is reliant on each other. The Mountain Man Memorial March is another event happening on April 22nd. The event here runs from 1:00 PM EST until 5:00 PM EST. The march is back for its second year after starting back up in 2022 after COVID stopped the event the prior 2 years. The event is one that is meant to honor the fallen soldiers, but also the Gold Star Families. You can find out more information about the event at the Mountain Man Memorial March website.

J.R. Williams is coming to the Gatlinburg Brewing Company. The event starts at 7:00 PM EST and is one that you may want to catch if you are a fan of his music. You can find out more information at the Gatlinburg Brewing Company Website.

April 26th

The start of a very special event is going to happen on April 26th. The event is the Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage. The event starts at 2:00 PM EST and runs until 9 AM EST. This is an event that runs for 3 days and provides you with some great insights on the wildflowers that are found in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Browders at the Gatlinburg Convention Center is an event that may interest some people. Information you get here is definitely going to be interesting and for some very useful. April 28th

Starting on April 28th and running until the 30th is the Smoky Mountain Kidsfest. This is a religions based event and may not be for everyone or all the kids that could attend. However, it is held at 234 Historic Nature Trail and is part of the Church of God. We could not find a direct link to this event so if you do find one please let us know.

April 29th

I love a parade and every year I make sure I watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. However, in Pigeon Forge you have a chance to catch the Music in the Mountains Spring Parade. This Parade starts at 7:00 PM EST and concludes at about 9:00 PM EST. You can find out more information about the parade and events surrounding the parade at the Pigeon Forge website.

B-Shoc at the Smoky Mountain Kidfest is another event that is happening on April 29th. The event is not really publicized that well and is taking place at 234 Historic Nature Trail. You can find out more about the event at the band page. It is important to note that their are conflicting dates for this event as Google has it listed as April 30th, but the band a page has it at April 29th.

Sidney James Mountain Lodge

Sidney James Mountain Lodge is located not far from downtown Gatlinburg and has plenty of features. The features includes several pools to choose from, pet friendly room, free WiFi, and a restaurant to just name a few of the amenities on site.

Stacey Squires is coming to the Gatlinburg Brewing Company. I have to admit I had never heard of Stacey Squires before, but she is a very talented singer and is currently doing tours in England and America both. For more information you can check out the Gatlinburg Brewing Company website.

It is important to note that the Gatlinburg Events in April are subject to change. Some of the Gatlinburg events in April can be impacted by weather as some of these events are being held outdoor, so it is very important to check the links before you think the event is still going on. Something else that is important to note is this list is not fully complete as some events have not been announced so you may find some extra Gatlinburg events in April. Either way with the green colors coming on in the leaves and the town starting to wake up from the winter months it is a great month to check out Gatlinburg.
