Okay, we all know that staying in the mountains is a great thing to do, but if you want to avoid a lot of the crowds and often headaches of staying in the mountains you will want to stay in one of the amazing Gatlinburg cabins. In this case, it often means finding a rental cabin from an owner of the cabins or going to one of the cabin rental companies like Elk Springs Resort and renting a cabin from them. In this case, we are going to talk about Blackjack, which is the name of one of the cabins, that is part of the Elk Springs Resort location and definitely a place that you will want to consider for your family vacation when you travel to Gatlinburg.

What Does Blackjack Offer

• This is part of the famous Elk Springs Resort area. This means you will have a great cabin that is ran by a company that cares about what people think. It is also going to be located in a community, which can help provide you with some of the extra security you may want to have when you are in a new area.
• Has a great hot tub that is located on the porch. When you are in the hot tub the main feature you will enjoy is the fact that you can look down and over the valley as this cabin does have a good position that will make it easier for you to enjoy the views.
• The cabin is in a great location for quietness, but it is going to require you to drive a little bit over 5 miles to get to town. So you will be sacrificing the ease of getting to town for the chance to get to enjoy the beauty and quiet the Smokies has to offer.

What I Like 

Has Great Views

When you are staying here you will find that it has some amazing views. Granted, this is in a log cabin community and it is a resort based community, but it will be a place that has some great views for you to enjoy. This will make it easier for you to have a great trip and know that even with the neighboring cabin being close and everything else that it will be very easy for you to see everything that you want to see and enjoy the views.

Has 3 Separate Bedrooms For The Family

When you are traveling with your kids and you have a boy and a girl they most likely will not want to share a room. So you will like the fact this place has quite a bit of room for you to stretch out in, but also the boys and the girls can have their own rooms. So this will make it easier for the family to have a trip that they are going to like and really cut down on a lot of the fighting you may have if you the kids had to share a bedroom.

Has A Great Hot Tub On The Deck

Now, I like to spend a lot of time in the mountains when I am in Gatlinburg. I guess that is what makes a hotel work out great for me in some cases. However, I do like the chance to relax and unwind and that means having a comfortable place to soothe my muscles and that is often in a hot tub. With this place, it definitely has a great hot tub that you can enjoy and relax in while looking out over the great view.

What I Dislike Here

Is Not Within A Comfortable Walking Distance

While this can be considered in walking distance for some of the attractions, you will find it is 5.7 miles from the Aquarium of the Smokies. So this could be quite a bit more of a walk than what you were planning on doing that day or even want to do. That could mean you will have to drive into Gatlinburg for the day or you could end up having to either drive to town, catch a taxi, or even worse have to try to find out if the trolley will come close enough for you to ride to town on it.

My Final Thoughts On Blackjack

Well, I have to say I love the cabins in Gatlinburg and definitely want to stay in one each time that I am in Gatlinburg. Since this is the case, I definitely like the fact this is the great cabin that has separate bedrooms and can handle quite a few people. The problem that you may have is the closeness of the neighboring cabin because it is so close, but it is set off aways. I do have to say that overall, I do like this cabin and if you are not traveling with pets and bringing your kids with you then the Blackjack Gatlinburg cabin could be one of those great places to stay at when you travel to Gatlinburg.
