Going shopping is something that everyone is going to do when they are on vacation. Even if your vacation is one that is just taking you about an hour away from your home, you are bound to buy something that will allow you to remember the trip. This is very true when you are in a place like Gatlinburg that is absolutely loaded with the shops that you do not usually see at your hometown. So you will want to make sure you know about all of the little shops and attractions that you can find. One of those places that you are going to want to explore is Alewine Pottery, which is in Gatlinburg. With that being said, let us start our review and overview of Alewine Pottery.

What Is Alewine Pottery

As the name says about the business it is a pottery business. However, unlike some places that will have only a limited selection, you will notice this is a place that has a lot of selections that are available for you to pick from. This is going to make it easier for you to find the right pottery pieces that you need, but also know they were all made in the shop. You may ask yourself how Alewine Pottery assures you the pieces are all made in house? Well that is very easy because you are going to have a chance to watch them make the pottery right in front of you. So this is definitely a treat if you have ever wanted to see how pottery is made because they make it right in front of you.

What Do We Enjoy Most About Alewine Pottery

One thing we are often asked about is what we like the most about a place like Alewine Pottery? Well, the answer that we have to say is the fact that the pottery is very well made and has a tendency to last you for years. So you are going to love the fact if you are careful with the pieces you can buy a piece that you can hand down to your kids several years down the road and know it is going to be just as good as the day you got it. When we are looking at the pieces the one item that we do love is the wide selection of coffee mugs that are available from Alewine Pottery.

What We Did Not Care For About Alewine Pottery

While we do love everything about the product and the people that are in Alewine Pottery we are going to have one small complaint about the location and that is the fact that it can be out of the loop if you are not familiar with areas outside of the Parkway. So it can make it difficult for you to find at times and this may lead to you overlooking the place. However, if you are into arts and crafts, then you need to realize the craft loop is definitely a trip that you need to make.

Our Final Thoughts On Alewine Pottery

Alewine Pottery is a place that you have to stop at when you are in Gatlinburg and if you have enough time to stop in. You will love the fact that you can peer behind the counter and watch them working on the vases as you are browsing the shop. At the same time, you will find the selection of pottery you have here amazing. This is going to make it easier for you to have a good time while you are shopping and finding something that is unique to bring back home. What else is nice is the fact this is going to make it easier for you to have a great trip shopping for the pottery and know the pottery is going to last you a life time as long as you do not do what my husband did to some of our pieces and drop them on the floor while cleaning them.
